I think that F2P was the one thing that Epic did right. They should have left it alone to do its thing, while they made a bit of money off of it. The Psyonix crew were handling it great, and the game was skyrocketing in popularity. Epic games got too possessive and ruined the game (temporarily).

I think it was the best thing they could've done, otherwise I wouldn't be here

The legacy items were realy cool and im sad that most ppl cant use them but other things were so much better after the f2p. To be fair beside expensive bundels and the remove of traiding, epic was realy good to the game

Funny thing, i got rocket league when it was pay to play. Back in 2018, when i only had offline and a switch.... The flashbacks :P

Yeah, I think f2p brought a bunch of people into the game, but Epic definitely should have just left it at that, and they would've made more money over time, since it's more appealing to buy some in game stuff in a free game rather than pay for the game (*cough cough, fortnite success story, cough cough*)

Didn't they also give rewards if you bought during p2p
