I'm not going to boycott the item shop for 2 reasons. 1: it will change nothing, because we're all ants in an ant farm to those people. 2: I like rl items, I like my cars to look nice, and if the item shop has nice items, then I don't see why I shouldn't have them. My aim is to forget that epic exists and stay in a rl bubble where my cars look nice and I'll play the game as normal.

that won't work, epic is too large of a company and they really are just focusing on the growth of fortnite. proof: soon all of your rl items will be transferred to fortnite and to play rocket racing (rl racing game) you will have to play it on fortnite like its a fortnite game mode

I think we should boycott the purchase of credits, not the item shop. Think about it, epic don't profit when we use our credits in the item shop but they do when we buy credits. Epic can't turn our credits into money

Not to be a debbie downer but considering epics current financial state, the popularity of fortnite, and the amount of money they are gneerating from rl still among all the other games they own theres really 0 reason for them to bring back trading, dont get me wrong trading was amazing and i was an avid trader but still, looking at the solid facts its just not really plausible for them to bring it back, but what do i know, i dont know how a massive coorparation runs and works so ig they gon do what they gon do

theres so many things that I would be really happy to have if there was still trading. but no, epic games just look like that image of mr. krabs with dollar signs in his eyes. if it keeps up like this, this game that so many people love will just die. all because of corporate greed. it’s sad.

Here’s what I’m thinking will happen if we boycott the item shop. And I mean REALLY boycott it. Everyone gets together and boycotts. I think there are 3 options. 1. They bring trading back (IMO unlikely when compared to the other 2). 2. They bring extremely rare items into the shop like alpha items so people will buy stuff. 3. They shut down rocket league because it’s not making enough money and epic thinks it’s just a waste of time because the whole point is to make money off of it and if it’s not then they will just stop wasting money on it.

I keep reading comments like „they’re not going to revert it etc“ I just wanna say you underestimate the power of a boycott. If NOBODY buys anything from the item you really think they will ignore that? In my whole RL playtime since Release I once bought 1000crs for pass and a hymn from free credit earnings during event. Just for example look what happened to Starbucks during boycotts. WE ARE STRONG TOGETHER!!!

I honestly don't think that they will revert the change. Besides I for one think that we should take advantage of this opportunity of there being good stuff in rotation for once not just in the item shop but also in the rocket pass.

I don't think that boycotting the item shop will make them revert their decision. however, right now it seems like Epic's not doing too well financially with everyone they've been laying off. Because of that, they're pushing really hard for items, and if that doesn't work, they'll be in not great shape. Potentially, they might then sell the game to someone who actually cares about if they need fast money

we dont boycott the item shop we would have to boycott paying for credits because they don't get paid when we buy stuff in the item shop they get paid when we buy the in app purchases like veteran packs and things of that nature

For example- they run the titanium white reaper goal explosion in the store for 800 credits. = $10 when the tradable version is $1,300 on any RL Exchange style websites. They know these websites are available and aren’t a scam. They can’t handle that and want full control of their items. Now it’s a miserable waiting game on the store for old rare items that they may never re-run

I feel like boycott or not epic games is still be a fomo profiting and fomo based company so much so that its dam near unstopable and inevitable that they will simply just make decisions thats bettering them over us, as for much of the game companies and companies in general that puppeteer the market and its consumer base. I feel this deicision has simply driven a knife down the middle of the rl fan base in a way that divides the angry and the unchanged, the angry people make the argument of boycotting and things along these lines and the unchanged simply dont care either way, its hard for a human to simpithize with the other side of an argument because its dam near programed into us, i feel like the situation would be better on many levels if we would just stop arguing with eachother and find a third option, an example would be the push to get rl out of the hands of epic, this would benefit both sides, incuring that the new comapny brings trading back.

Maybe also don’t buy credits in general. Only use what you’ve saved up. Epic gets no money if you use credits you traded for.
